"One does not think of bronze as breathing, but this is exactly what Asnat Halter's birds do. Their curves swell and fall as one looks at them, it almost seems that, if one took them in one's hand, one would feel the warm beating of a heart. Their lines have the purer, formal logic of a mathematical equation and the sensuality of a woman's body. They are the lines of waves, of sand dunes, of the organic meeting and parting of things. They are in a state of constant motion and of perfect calm.
An amazing thing about these birds is the way they change from angle to angle; one would hardly think that creatures so small could offer so many different views. But they do, always surprising you, making you want to turn them again and again to see what lies beyond the uplift of a breast, the droop of a wing. To look at them closely is like entering an abundant landscape. One never tires of them."
